Set between New York and New Orleans, three young people — Elliott, Leanne, and Jermaine — struggle to hold onto their dreams as the economy crumbles around them. Elliott, fresh out of college, is stuck at home surrounded by unfinished projects. Leanne, a single mother of four, fights to balance family with her modeling and acting ambitions. Jermaine, weighed down by a criminal record, searches desperately for a legitimate fresh start.
